Wine & Talk With Nazik Avdalyan

Hey AUA alumni, get ready for our first Wine & Talk event of 2024! This time, the guest of the much-anticipated event series is a world and European champion of weightlifting, Nazik Avdalyan. She is the first weightlifter from the Republic of Armenia to win a gold medal at the World Weightlifting Championships and the first woman from Armenia to win a world championship in any sport.
This is a great chance for our alumni to join an informal discussion with one of the most famous Armenian sportswomen, who proved her strong will on her journey to the championship. Avdalyan will share her story of suffering a car accident, not being able to compete in sports for several years because of her injuries, and how she overcame these challenges to make a remarkable comeback and win the title of champion once again. She will also speak about the upcoming movie that will recount her athletic journey.
